this is for the artist who tends to lose themselves in partnership or in desiring partnership ..
i wanted to run a program like this because for most of my life i have struggled with severe self-consciousness and self-repression in BOTH my dating life and creative career (our dating patterns tend to mirror our creative patterns). i’ve learned how to navigate partnership/dating/sex in a way that allows me to live a life that i am in loooove with because i am in love with myself, i am in love with my friends and i am in love with my creative work. my romantic life is a source of pleasure buttt its not the only source of my pleasure .. ya know?? and i want to help you build the same thing for yourself!!!
i am fascinated by the relationship between our creativity & sexuality!! (creative energy is sexual energy and vice versa) it’s allll passion! and passion is what makes life worth living tbh.
passion heals. passion purifies. passion alchemizes. passion creates presence. passion creates connection. passion is honest. passion is alive.
to live in alignment with our passion, is to live fully expressed.
however (currently and historically), female & queer passion have been socially demonized and shamed.
the patriarchal a$$ backwards heternormative values we have inherited and internalized not only f*ck us in obvious ways but they also infiltrate the relationship we have to our passions and purpose. the patriarchal a$$ backwards heternormative values we have inherited and internalized lead one too many of us to self-abandon .. in the name of love.
this is because we've all been socialized to center romance .. we have taken on social expectations, experienced power dynamics and been force fed beauty standards that SUCK the life out of us (and in turn, SUCK our creativity out of us.)
even a crush (that we barely know) has the power to take us off our game and drain us of our creative juices :(
this is where that ends
imagine a world where from a young age we were encouraged to prioritize our passions and our community. a world where Cinderella married the Prince BUT THE STORY DIDN'T END THERE she also ran a thriving coffee shop in the heart of the village where her fellow Princesses would meet every friday for a slam poetry night (!!!) imagine a world where romantic partnership IS important but it’s just one piece of a bigger puzzle.
