Today, April 1st, is the first day of the rest of your life.
This new moon is a fresh new start, a clean slate, a rebirth.
We are 11 days into aries season and the vibes have been all over the place.
March 18th's Virgo full moon was a harsh wake up call that pointed out identities and behaviors we've recently outgrown. Since then, Mars (planet of war) has been chasing Venus (planet of love) through Aquarius, not taking no for an answer. Mercury (the messenger of the Gods) transitioned from speaking in Piscean riddles, into waging Aries warfare. Jupiter (self acquired wisdom) and Neptune (the planet of ideals) are teaming up and romanticizing the big picture. Saturn (father time) in Aquarius is conserving information and resources, reminding us that necessity is the mother of invention. All while Uranus (the planet of rebellion) has been sliding through Taurus, destabilizing our comfort zones and bank accounts so that we can rebuild them from the ground up.
New moons are always magical but this one is even more so
New moons are 2-3 days of physical darkness, as the moon itself becomes non-visible in a pitch black night sky. As well as 2-3 days of metaphorical darkness, when nothing is promised and everything becomes possible. New moons echo menstrual periods, both are the start of a new energetic cycle.
We are feeling sensitive because our internal landscape is shifting. We are mourning what could have been and preparing for new life.
This Aries new moon is ripe for intention setting, manifestation magick and spellwork. Your homework assignment is to meditate, bathe, dream, plan, lean into why you want the things you want and get ready to fight for them. Pray for passion. Pray for courage. Pray for resilience.
Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac.
Aries is cardinal fire, it is the initial spark of creation.
Aries is the ram, the fool, the emperor, the hero, the warrior.
Aries is the sacrificial lamb, chosen by God.
Aries is the toddler, ruling over ages 0-7.
This is the energy of birth and becoming.
This is the energy of dying for what you believe in.
What are you fighting for?
Who's team are you on? God's?
Who is the enemy? Complacency?
It's time to lean into our uniqueness. It's time to embrace our weirdest goals and embrace the non-linear paths we get to walk in this lifetime.
Over these next few days you will more than likely find yourself having inspirational conversations with like minded people. Trouble shoot with others, be open to new ideas but protect your vision.
This next season of life has the potential to be so rich, creative and nourishing. Stay loyal to your inner child, stay loyal to your future self.
Embrace your desires, embrace your hunger, embrace being a beginner. Throw pasta at the wall, see what sticks. Get the ball rolling. Get your hands dirty.
